Countdown to GDevCon ANZ #3 – 3 months to go!
The countdown is on! In just three months, the ANZ graphical programming community will come together in Melbourne on October 27th – 28th 2026 for GDevCon ANZ #3, hosted at Cliftons, Collins Street.

Venkatesh Perumal Pranay Chandragiri – Modernizing LabVIEW CI/CD with Containers: From Desktop to Pipeline
Traditional LabVIEW CI/CD workflows often rely on heavyweight virtual machines that are slow to provision, resource-intensive, and difficult to maintain. This session introduces NI’s official headless LabVIEW container images and explains how containers provide a faster, more reliable, and reproducible foundation for modern DevOps practices. No prior Docker experience is required.
Through hands-on demonstrations, you’ll learn how to use LabVIEWCLI within containers to automate Mass Compile, VI Analyzer, and unit testing workflows. We’ll show how to pull and run NI’s pre-built images, connect them to source code repositories, and integrate them into GitHub Actions to create a complete CI pipeline without a GUI or dedicated workstation.
We’ll also explore building custom LabVIEW container images that include your project’s specific dependencies and toolchains. Finally, we’ll cover practical best practices for image management, reproducibility, and pipeline design, helping you move from proof-of-concept implementations to scalable, maintainable, production-ready LabVIEW DevOps workflows.
Troy Kujawski – User defined GUIs at runtime – Virtual Front Panel
At Bosch, reliability testing often requires custom hardware with unique control and monitoring requirements. Rather than developing a dedicated LabVIEW user interface for every test setup, we created the Virtual Front Panel: a framework that builds operator interfaces dynamically at runtime from configuration files.
Through a live demonstration, I’ll show how the system generates controls on demand while maintaining a fast, clean user experience. We’ll explore the architecture behind the application, including the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), dynamic UI techniques, and the decision to use YAML despite the lack of native LabVIEW support.
I’ll also share the challenges, lessons learned, and practical techniques that can benefit LabVIEW developers interested in scalable architectures, flexible user interfaces, and modern application design.
